Where time is space

Time is a space for life to flow and unfold.
Time not limited by what has come before, or what may come.
Held as an element of space.

A single circular face reveals a second disc, with the leading edge
expanding to reveal the time over a 24 Hour cycle.

No hands. No numerals. No markers.
A pause from the demands of time.

An invitation to step beyond the pressures of time.
A pause, a return to the present.

Each piece shares the single mechanism.

The discs are bespoke, designed for their respective space. The mechanism is the canvas. Scale, form, shape, surface, tone, and expression are determined entirely through collaboration. Envisaged for expansive spaces.

Made in England, by makers of the highest horological tradition.

The Time Artist and Inventor.

Laurence, operating from first principle, investigates a single conviction across art, object, philosophy, and natural rhythm: everything is turning, nothing stands alone. His practice builds instruments of enquiry made in collaboration with master ateliers that reframe how we sit with time as presence rather than measure. They emerge from respect for rhythms already present: daylight, tides, lunar phase, the body's own turning.

He works with raw materials, conscious of the precious planet they come from. He clears away the noise the distraction of what is past and what might be. When an audience encounters work shaped by the artist's vision, they find a pause. His pieces work at scale, inviting quiet questioning and a slowing of time. The threshold between inner and outer becomes visible.

He works with established artists, makers, and thinkers who have found their ground, where understanding requires no convincing. EQNX two rotating discs, one axis, 24 hours performs the principle mechanically: as one rises, the other falls. Two apparent opposites held as one continuous turning. Duality held within unity. Inventor of the EQNX mechanism, a patented approach to presence.

The Horological Architect.

A twice Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Genève award winner. He works from first principles, diving into history and the future to give relevance to the present.

Trained in automotive and transport design at Coventry University, he developed a practice built on hand finishing, aesthetic precision and technical expertise to the highest degree, with the conviction that materials are chosen for purpose as much as beauty. A horological craftsman and founder of a British horology brand.

"In an environment which has been explored for centuries, Laurence has achieved something unique in creating an original way to indicate time, executing it beautifully and simply."
Peter Speake, Watchmaker
